Fun Run FAQ's

What is the Fun Run?

The FUN RUN is our school’s most profitable fundraiser, where students raise money (flat amount or per-lap donations) and run or walk around the school track. This money is used to pay for programs and activities that benefit our students even remotely, such as literacy materials, classroom support, and enrichment grant requests for equipment and educational supplies. It also pays for field trips, science fair, community events, art literacy, passport club, international festival, and so much more!

There is not a child in our school that is not directly impacted each year by PTO Funds.

When and where does the Fun Run take place?

This year we have designated an entire week to our FUN RUN, to ensure families can find a time  and place that works for them. It will take place wherever your shoes take you, whether that’s a few laps around your neighborhood, a trip to a school track, or maybe a path between friends houses!

How long will the students run?

We encourage students to run, jog, or walk for 20 minutes. In typical years, this would give kids enough time to complete an average of 8-10 laps on the Scholls Heights track

Will students receive a t-shirt again this year?

YES! We chose to hand out our Fun Run T-shirts early this year, to ensure that every student would have a chance to come collect theirs. We would love to see pictures of your students in their Fun Run shirts while participating in the Fun Run. Photos should be emailed to shfunrunphotos@hotmail.com. We will be putting together a class collage that will be shared during a virtual assembly. When emailing photos, please include your students name, grade, and teacher.

When is the Fun Run envelope due?

Envelopes are due back to the school by Wednesday April 7th. A Fun Run donation drop box will be located at the front doors of the school the week of March 29th and the week of April 5th.
